  • Fenders are placed for optimum mobility
  • Pretwisted fenders reduce joint fatigue

Team of Champions Spotlight: Kenda Lenseigne

Kenda Lenseigne is an amazing horsewoman and fierce competitor in Cowboy Mounted Shooting. She is the reigning overall World Champion and a multiple world record holder. I mean really, is there anything cooler than riding your horse full out, shooting a gun, and working as a team with your horse? Because of Kenda’s success in Mounted Shooting, she has designed a signature line of KL Shooting Saddles with Circle Y from the tree out. While these saddles can’t guarantee you won’t miss your target, they will:
1) help keep you in a balanced position with the deep, dished seat and 4 ½” cantle
2) provide grip with the suede seat and rough out seat jockeys and fenders
3) let you position your fenders to your riding style with a stirrup leather positioner
4) free your horse to do his job because of the Flex2® Shooter tree which works in several ways-it has some flex with the low density bars so your horse can move freely, but has high density bars under the groundseat that will not collapse in the middle so you have good weight distribution which is the whole point of proper saddle fit. Furthermore, the Neo-Shock™ skirt provides superior comfort to your horse because it absorbs shock and conforms to the horse's back
5) gives you some extra room to get your guns because the swell is low and tilted forward
6) reduce knee and ankle fatigue with pre-twisted stirrup leathers
7) be easy to carry and put on your horse because they're lightweight at 27 lbs.
8) give you years of service with proper care because of the Circle Y hand made quality built in every one

There are two KL Shooters-2401 Quick Shot (pictured right) which has beautiful floral tooling, a rawhide braided horn, silver spots and brown iron silver star conchos

The 2402 Men’s Rundown (left) is designed for men and has a flatter rise for comfort and looks more manly with flint rawhide accents and basketweave tooling.

While Circle Y will provide you with the best gear, be sure to check out Kenda’s website to find your next horse or improve your horsemanship and shooting skills. Shop online for KL Shooting Saddles here.

He is a graduate of John Lyons very first certification program and has continued his education training under top trainers in the disciplines of dressage, hunter/jumper, eventing, and reining. Kenny's training methods have been featured in many horse publications. His specialty is working with problem horses and starting unbrokes. He proves that clear communication and patience is the key to solving the most difficult of problems. If you don't have DISH, you can order the DVD through kennyharlow.com.

The Kenny Harlow signature saddles were designed by Kenny with Circle Y with features to keep the rider and horse comfortable and maximize performance. Both of Kenny's saddles have a close contact skirt shape, cut out under the leg, for precise cueing. The Tunnel skirt™ design eliminates pressure on the horse's spine. Impact Foam™ seat padding conforms to the ride for a comfortable seat. Softee® seat jockeys and fenders provide a broken in feel, right out of the box. And fenders are pre-twisted to reduce knee and ankle fatigue (no broomstick required!). The 3-way adjustable position in-skirt riggings allows you to use the rigging position best suited to your horse. Stainless steel hardware for durability, attractive acorn tooling with a rope edge border, and silver conchos make these saddles look as good as they ride. With a choice of a Flex2® tree or Wood tree version, there is a Kenny Harlow saddle for any job.

The 5620 Cedar Run Flex2 trail saddle has Flex2® tree technology for fit and comfort of the horse. The Flex2 tree conforms to the horse, even while in motion, for great fit and freedom of movement. The Neo-Shock™ skirt absorbs shock and conforms to the horse's back. The saddle is also lightweight, at just 27 pounds. The perfect saddle for trail, arena performance events, or recreational riding.

The 5622 High Rock All-Around saddle is designed for the rider who needs a more heavy-duty saddle. It features a Fiberglass reinforced Wood tree suitable for roping, dragging, or ponying. The tree is also finish coated in DURAhide™ for extra strength and to seal out the elements. This saddle weighs in at 35 pounds.

Also available are matching accessories for Kenny's saddles-saddle pads cut to match the skirt shape and saddle color, headstalls, breast collars, flank cinches, and slobber straps.
